Cookie Policy

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Battlecat Gaming Ltd ("Battlecat Partners", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technology on www.battlecatpartners.com (the "Affiliate Site").

It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains who we are, how we handle personal data and what rights you have.

This policy does not cover:

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit. They let the site recognise your device and remember information between pages or visits.

In this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technology that stores or reads information on your device, such as local storage, pixels and tracking identifiers in links.

TermMeaning
First-party cookieSet by the Affiliate Site itself
Third-party cookieSet by another organisation whose service we use on the Affiliate Site
Session cookieDeleted when you close your browser
Persistent cookieStays on your device for a set period, or until you delete it

3. How we use cookies

We set strictly necessary cookies automatically. We set every other type only if you agree to it.

CategoryWhat it doesConsent needed
Strictly necessaryKeeps you logged in to your Affiliate Account, protects the Affiliate Site against misuse, balances traffic and remembers your cookie choiceNo
FunctionalRemembers preferences such as language, display settings and report filtersYes
AnalyticsShows us how the Affiliate Site is used, such as pages visited and errors, so we can improve itYes

The law lets us set strictly necessary cookies without consent, because the Affiliate Site cannot provide the service you asked for without them. For all other cookies, we rely on your consent under the Applicable data privacy laws. In Malta these include the Processing of Personal Data (Electronic Communications Sector) Regulations (Subsidiary Legislation 586.01) and the GDPR.

Where a cookie collects personal data, such as an IP address or an identifier linked to your Affiliate Account, we handle that data as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies on the Affiliate Site

The table describes the types of cookie the Affiliate Site sets.

The cookie settings panel on the Affiliate Site shows the current names and providers of the individual cookies.

Some third-party providers may process cookie data outside the European Economic Area. Section 8 of our Privacy Policy explains the safeguards we use.

5. Affiliate tracking links

Tracking links record that a visitor arrived through an Affiliate, so that New Customers are credited to the right Affiliate Account.

When a visitor clicks an Affiliate's tracking link, the click passes through our tracking system and the visitor is taken to a Brand Website. The referral is recorded using a tracking cookie or a click identifier, which is kept only for as long as needed to credit the referral.

These tracking cookies are set for visitors to Brand Websites, not for Affiliates using the Affiliate Site. The cookie policy of the relevant Brand Website covers them.

If you are an Affiliate, you must also tell your own visitors that your links use tracking technology, and obtain their consent where the law requires it. See the Terms and Conditions and section 12 of our Privacy Policy.

6. Managing your cookie choices

You decide whether we set any cookie that is not strictly necessary, and you can change your mind at any time.

If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, you may be unable to log in or use parts of the Affiliate Site. Rejecting functional or analytics cookies does not limit your access to your Affiliate Account or your Commission.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The version number and date at the top show when it was last changed.

If we add cookies that need your consent, we will ask for your choice again through the cookie banner.

8. Contact and complaints

If you have a question about how we use cookies, email info@battlecatpartners.com.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Malta this is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC). Its contact details are in section 15 of our Privacy Policy.
